Most Apex players know they're losing. They don't know where. These are the patterns Callout finds repeatedly in Apex VODs.
Late rotations aren't just a positioning error. They drain shields before the fight starts and hand high-ground to whoever got there first. Most players don't realize how often this happens until they see it timestamped across an entire session.
Apex rewards elevation harder than almost any other battle royale. Taking a fight from low ground against a team on a rooftop or cliff costs you before the first bullet lands. The decision to contest or reposition is made in two seconds, and most players default wrong.
Winning a fight and then immediately dying to a fresh squad is one of Apex's most consistent frustrations. Third-party pressure is predictable if you're tracking zone, listening to gunfire, and managing the fight timer. Most players don't do any of those three things consistently.
Every Legend in Apex has a kit that changes how fights play out. Wraith portals, Pathfinder grapples, Bangalore smoke, Lifeline revives. Players who forget abilities in the heat of the moment are voluntarily playing a worse version of the game every time.
No manual clip-tagging. No pausing and scrubbing. Upload your footage and the AI does the work.
Record your session with OBS, ShadowPlay, Medal.tv, or any capture tool, then upload the file directly. No proprietary format to export. Callout accepts standard video files from any source.
Pass one scans the full VOD for Apex-specific events: ring timings, rotation paths, fight initiations, third-party windows, ability usage, looting behavior, and squad positioning throughout. Pass two re-analyzes the highest-signal clips in depth with the full Apex rubric injected. It tracks the HUD, minimap, kill feed, and body language of every fight.
You get a comprehensive coaching report with letter grades across every dimension, named patterns pulled from your actual footage, specific timestamps where each issue occurred, and a strength worth carrying into the next session. Not a highlight reel. A coaching report.
These are the seven dimensions every Apex Legends analysis covers. Each one maps to a distinct part of the game. Each one gets a letter grade, pulled from your footage.
Are you rotating before the ring closes, or scrambling in damage? Callout tracks when you start moving, which path you take, and whether you arrived with shields or arrived bleeding through ring fire.
Are you fighting from elevation and cover, or standing in the open? Callout grades your fight positioning per engagement: did you hold high ground, contest it, or give it up without trying?
Are you picking fights you can win, or engaging with no advantage? Callout evaluates the decision to push, hold, disengage, or reposition before and during each engagement, not just the mechanics once it starts.
Are you tracking nearby squads, or getting blindsided after every fight? Callout measures how often you read the audio, zone state, and fight proximity correctly and whether your post-fight behavior reflects that read.
Are you using your Legend's kit every fight, or ignoring free advantages? Callout tracks how frequently each ability was available versus used, and whether the timing was correct or wasted in moments where it changed nothing.
Are you geared and moving in 90 seconds, or still looting when the ring closes? Callout grades your drop path, loot prioritization, and how long the team spends in the opening phase relative to how geared you are when the first fight happens.
Are you playing as a squad and reviving smart, or splitting off and dying alone? Callout grades squad cohesion, respawn decisions, revive timing during active fights, and how often you committed to plays your teammates couldn't support.
This is what a Callout Apex Legends coaching report looks like. Illustrative sample, not a real user's data.
Late ring entries costing pre-fight shields. In three of five games, rotation started after the ring had already ticked twice. All three entries took between 40 and 90 HP of ring damage. In two of those games, the subsequent fight was lost while shields were still regenerating from ring fire. The team arrived geared but already losing.
Third-party blindness after winning fights. In four of five games, the squad looted bodies immediately after a win with at least one other squad audible in close proximity. No one rotated to cover, no portal or grapple was set for escape. Two of the four post-win deaths were to squads that had been shooting for at least eight seconds before contact.
Tactical ability held unused through full fights. The tactical ability sat at full charge through seven distinct engagements where usage would have changed the engagement geometry: smoke for cover during a revive, scan pulse before pushing a building, grapple to contest high ground. None of the seven were used.
Loot pathing and gear discipline are genuinely strong. The squad was fully kitted and moving toward the first engagement inside 80 seconds across all five games. Backpack and armor prioritization was efficient, ammo was appropriate for loadout, and no time was spent re-looting areas the team had already cleared. This is a real foundation to build on.
Callout accepts any screen recording or VOD of your Apex Legends session: MP4, MOV, MKV, and other common formats from OBS, ShadowPlay, Medal.tv, Xbox Game Bar, or any capture tool. There's no proprietary replay format to export. If you recorded the match, upload that file directly.
Callout is useful across the full skill range, but players in Bronze through Platinum see the sharpest coaching signal because ring rotation, loot efficiency, and gunfight decision errors at those ranks are frequent and correctable. Gold and Platinum players in particular benefit most from the third-party awareness and high-ground grades. Those two dimensions separate mid-ladder from Diamond more than mechanics do.
Callout works best with Battle Royale and Ranked BR footage because the ring rotation and loot efficiency dimensions are specific to that format. Mixtape modes like Control and TDM don't have a ring, so those dimensions are skipped and the analysis focuses on high-ground usage, gunfight decision-making, Legend ability usage, and team play instead. Upload any mode and Callout adjusts.
Pro streams show you what elite Apex looks like in elite lobbies with coordinated teams. Callout shows you what your Apex looks like, graded against the same criteria. You'll see your actual ring rotation grade, the exact moments your third-party awareness broke down, which fights you took with no positional advantage, and how your Legend's kit went unused across the match. Pros don't explain your games. Callout does.
Most Apex Legends analyses complete in 5 to 10 minutes depending on match length. The two-pass AI reads the full game VOD first to build a timestamped event log, then re-analyzes the highest-signal clips in detail before assembling your full graded report. You'll get a notification when it's ready.
